Fall events announced!

We are happy to announce that the next OS public concert/gallery event will take place at the Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine St.) on Sept. 16, 2015 at 6:30pm! This will be a very special evening to say the least. It will be the first OS event in Philadelphia (where the project started) since April of 2013 and we are using the opportunity to premiere a whole program of new music and unreleased art collages. We are also partnering with our friends from Center for Creative Works and (for the first time) with SpArc Philadelphia – two important art programs serving adults with disabilities in the Philadelphia area. More information to come. We have another event in the works, an open house music day at Center for Creative Works that will happen in late August or early September…check back soon for date and time.J_McGonigle_07

Outside Sound awarded project grant from ACF

This just in…American Composers Forum has awarded new funding to Outside Sound! ACF has supported the project before and we are humbled to have their recognition and help. The funding will be used for upcoming activities and events later in 2015. Stay tuned for more information! In the meantime, please take some time to read about ACF and maybe to pass along their website to any musicians who may be interested: ACF

We look forward to more work in schools this upcoming year and it is great to see students of all ages and backgrounds responding to artwork, creative music, and inspiring stories. Outside Minnesota Residency comes to a close

We are almost wrapped up with the two month residency here in Minneapolis. There will be a special event on Wednesday Sept 4th @ the Midwest Special Services – Eagan center. This event will feature music performances by clients from four different MSS centers as well as from the Interact Art Center. Guest jazz artists Brandon Wozniak (sax) and Chris Olson (guitar) will be joining me to perform some of my own compositions as well.

Check out a feature that CBS affiliate WCCO did on my residency with Midwest Special Services:
